Simple VO2 Max Test: Privacy Policy

Simple VO2 Max Test is an Android application that estimates cardiorespiratory fitness (VO2 max) from a guided step test using your phone camera and a Bluetooth heart rate monitor.

Data the app collects

The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app records stays on your device:

• Profile details you enter (age, sex, height, weight, optional body fat percentage).
• Heart rate readings received from your Bluetooth heart rate monitor during a test.
• Body pose landmark positions computed on the device from the camera during a test, used only to count knee lifts.
• Test results and history.

Camera

The camera is used only while a test is running, to verify your stepping movement. Video frames are processed entirely on the device and are never stored, uploaded, or shared. No photos or videos are saved.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is used only to connect to the heart rate monitor you choose. The app remembers your device's Bluetooth address on your phone so it can reconnect for future tests.

Accounts, analytics, and advertising

The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third party tracking of any kind. It makes no network requests with your data.

Data deletion

You can delete individual test results inside the app. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all app data from your device.

The app provides a fitness estimate for informational purposes only and is not a medical device. Consult a doctor before vigorous exercise if you have a cardiac condition or other health concerns.
